Ranking The 6 Superstars In The Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match

Two matches will take place inside that satanic structure as WWE Superstars put their bodies and careers on the line for a chance to win some gold.

The vacant Intercontinental Championship will be up for grabs when Sheamus, Ryback, R-Truth, King Barrett, Rusev and Dolph Ziggler collide inside the Chamber.

Ranking The 6 Teams In Tag Championship Chamber Match

From there, The New Day will defend its WWE Tag Team Championships inside the confines of the Chamber against The Lucha Dragons, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, The Prime Time Players, The Ascension and Los Matadores.

Before the Elimination Chamber returns, here is a look back at our top five Chamber Matches of all time:

5) Rated 'R' Victory, Elimination Chamber 2011: The odds were stacked against Edge when he was forced to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Rey Mysterio, Kane, Drew McIntyre, Big Show and Wade Barrett in the Chamber live from the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. on Feb. 20, 2011. Barrett was the first to go at the hand of The Big Show while Kane then took out Show and McIntyre with chokeslams and then was eliminated himself by an Edge spear. The contest boiled down to Edge and Mysterio, and the Rated 'R' Superstar got the win after spearing Mysterio out of midair in impressive fashion to retain his gold.

4) Chamber Is Jericho, Elimination Chamber 2010: Chris Jericho won the Elimination Chamber Match to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he went up against title-holder The Undertaker, CM Punk, John Morrison, R-Truth and Rey Mysterio at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Feb. 21, 2010. The match followed a pattern that every man who eliminated someone was the next to be taken out. Punk ended Truth's night then was taken down by Mysterio who in-turn fell by the hands of Morrison. Morrison then lost to Undertaker, who in turn was pinned by Jericho after Shawn Michaels hit him with the Sweet Chin Music.

3) 'The Game' Stands Tall, No Way Out 2008: In a star-studded field, Triple H topped Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho JBL and Umaga to earn a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania XXIV on Feb. 17, 2008, live from The Thomas & Mack Center in Nevada. Jericho got off to a roaring start, taking out JBL after a Codebreaker and pinning Umaga after Hardy hit him with a Swanton Bomb off the top of a pod. Jericho then fell to Hardy after Sweet Chin Music from Michaels while HBK's night ended when Triple H hit a Pedigree. The contest came down to "The Game" and Hardy and Triple H won the battle after a Pedigree on a steel chair.

2) Cenation Overcomes The Odds, New Year's Revolution 2006: John Cena was up against a wall when he defended his WWE Championship against Chris Masters, Carlito, Shawn Michaels, Kane and Kurt Angle inside the structure. Angle was the first to go thanks to a Sweet Chin Music from Michaels while Carlito then went on a run, eliminating Kane with the help of Masters then taking out Michaels and Masters in succession before falling to Cena via a roll up at the end of the bout. What made the match better was the memorable finish, which saw Edge cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win his first WWE Championship from an exhausted Cena.

1) A Heartbreak Comeback, Survivor Series 2002: The first ever Chamber Match saw Triple H defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Booker T and Kane at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 17, 2002. The bout was a successful debut of the new concept and RVD was the first man to ever fall by the wayside when he was eliminated by a Booker T missile dropkick. Jericho then took out Booker T and Kane in succession with the Lionsalt and was eliminated by Michaels via Sweet Chin Music. With the contest boiled down to the feuding former partners HBK and Triple H, with both men bloodied, Michaels rallied back from a Pedigree, reversed out of another one and hit Sweet Chin Music to win the first ever Chamber Match after nearly 40 minutes of action. The victory culminated Michaels' return from a four-year hiatus due to a career-threatening back injury and marked the last time he was ever atop the promotion as champion.

Next Sunday, WWE Superstars will look to top what we've seen in past Chamber Matches when Elimination Chamber hits the WWE Network live from Corpus Christi, TX on May 31.
