Tonight at 7:10 p.m. ET, the Texas Rangers (16-23) and Boston Red Sox (19-20) take the field at Fenway Park for the middle match of a three-game series.

Texas has lost four out of its last five games and continues a nine-match road trip while Boston has won two of its last three contests and resumes a six-game homestand.

Phil Klein will make his first MLB start for the Rangers while the Red Sox will counter with Joe Kelly, who is 1-2 with a 5.58 ERA thus far this season.

Klein has allowed four runs in 4.2 relief innings this season while Kelly has struggled on the campaign, but is coming in off of an outing where he pitched 6.1 innings and allowed one run against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.

Boston overcame the Rangers 4-3 on Tuesday in the series-opener and received homers from Mike Napoli (4) and David Ortiz (6) in the victory. Leonys Martin hit his second homer of the season in the top of the ninth inning for Texas.

Red Sox outfielder Hanley Ramirez is tied for third in the American League with 10 homers while shortstop Xander Bogaerts is knotted for second with three triples.

Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder leads the AL with a .348 batting average and 54 hits this season.

Boston enters play in second place in the AL East, 2.5 games behind the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays for first place while Texas is fourth in the AL West, 9.5 games behind the division-leading Houston Astros.
