For the very first time, the WWE Tag Team Championships will be on the line inside the Elimination Chamber structure in a WWE Network special on May 31 live from Corpus Christi, TX.

Ranking 6 Participants In Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match

The New Day (a combination of Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) will defend the Tag Team Championships against Los Matadores (Diego & Fernando), The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor), The Lucha Dragons (Kalisto & Sin Cara), Tyson Kidd & Cesaro and The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O'Neil) inside the Elimination Chamber.

Before these six teams clash in the demonic structure, here's a ranking of each team's odds of winning the bout from worst to first.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers And Updated Elimination Chamber Card

6) The Prime Time Players: Young and O'Neil have sort of been lost in the shuffle within the tag division and haven't had many high-profile matches as of late. Lest we forget that the WWE actually split them up and had them feud briefly before putting them back together after realizing it was dumb to split them in the first place. The PTP have never had a WWE Tag Team Championship run, and it's unlikely to happen at Elimination Chamber.

5) The Ascension: There was much hype behind Konnor & Viktor before their call-up from NXT, where they had a record 360-day tag title reign, but so far they've been more of a bust than a success and it seemed for a while that the WWE had given up on making the duo a legitimate threat. It appeared they'd be fodder for Macho Mandow and Curtis Axel at Payback, but in what could be considered a surprise, they won the bout to build some steam. Still, it's unlikely the WWE is ready to have them carry its tag team division with their first title reign on the main roster.

4) Los Matadores: Diego & Fernando are in search of their second tag title reign, but the odds are seemingly stacked against them. The two cousins are fun to watch, but they haven't been major players in the tag team scene in quite some time and despite their involvement in a great tag match at WrestleMania 31, they've mostly been kept away from the belts. That will likely continue at Elimination Chamber.

3) The Lucha Dragons: Sin Cara and Kalisto are a sleeper team to win this whole thing as they haven't necessarily been involved in a main feud around the belts, but the WWE may support them enough to have them emerge victorious. The two are fun enough to watch that they could conceivably carry the division as they have experience holding gold as they were reigning NXT Tag Team Champions for 126 days. This team could very well be a surprise winner come May 31.

2) Tyson Kidd & Cesaro: This team seemed as though it was slapped together with very little thought late last year and while that may be the case, these guys have turned into a fun tandem. The main feud over the tag belts has been between this duo and The New Day, so it stands to reason that this match may boil down to the two teams. Kidd and Cesaro won the titles at Fastlane from The Usos, but their reign came to a surprising end at Extreme Rules when they lost to New Day. After turning from heels to faces, they haven't lost any steam and could very well win the gold back.

1) The New Day: It's uncertain who will represent the team, but with the Chamber stipulation, it's unlikely a third member will get involved like they did at Payback. The New Day only won the gold last month and the WWE has a chance for something fun with all three members defending the belts and cheating like classic old school heels. Since their reign will only be a little over a month old when Elimination Chamber rolls around, the WWE should figure out a creative way to keep the belts on the desperate heels in order to maintain their momentum. The trio will be insufferable if it survives the Chamber Match, which would be television gold.

The WWE presents Elimination Chamber live from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX on May 31 and for the very first time the Tag Team Championships will hang in the balance inside the structure.
