Russell Wilson has acquired another bargaining chip in his contract renegotiation with the Seattle Seahawks.

CBS Sports is reporting that a political polling company, Public Policy Polling, surveyed residents of Washington State and asked whether they thought the Seahawks star quarterback was favorable or unfavorable.

Russell Wilson goes on Twitter rant against the Seahawks?

This is a player, CBS Sports reminded, that threw an interception at the goal line in the last minute of Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots that cost Seattle its second consecutive championship.

"Wilson scored a 92/1 favorability rating among Washington residents, CBS Sports reported. "The score, as Public Policy Polling pointed out, was so close to being a record for the company, which has been around since 2001."

Russell Wilson won't accept a Colin Kaepernick-like deal with the Seahawks

Wilson currently is embroiled in what is starting to become a contentious negotiation with the Seahawks.

Wilson has guided the franchise to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in just three years, but Seahawks general manager John Schneider has said the team will not cripple its salary cap for any one player.

The quarterback entering his fourth year has responded by sending out tweets suggesting his frustration at the lack of progress in the negotiations without overtly calling out the Seahawks.

Bleacher Report is reporting that Wilson is seeking a deal similar to that of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, at least in terms of monetary value - seven years and $126 million.

Unlike Kaepernick, which has none of his contract guaranteed, Wilson is looking at the contract of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who also has a seven-year, $126.7 million but has $48 million fully guaranteed.

And Wilson has reason to believe his has more value than Cutler, thanks to his postseason performances.

Whether the Seahawks believe that or worry about backlash in Seattle if they don't sign Wilson remains to be seen.
