What They're Saying

Chivas Guadalajara defender Miguel Ponce (via Esto): "I think that they [Atlas] are the favorites because of the position they're in. They also did a good job this season, but the team that does things right will advance. We have to leave them out of sorts. Hopefully, the team relaxed a little too much after we were safe from relegation. The team wanted to be certain, but we have worked hard on the details so the team doesn't commit the same mistakes."

Atlas defender Gerardo Venegas (via Esto): "We are in the playoffs and we wanted to face Chivas. It's a game that we all wanted to play. We want to advance. They are team that defends well. I think they have great wide players. Up front, they have players with experience like [Omar] Bravo. He's in good form, dangerous. We are going to face a Chivas team without pressure."
