Two clubs chasing the Clausura Liga MX title will do battle today in a league match between Queretaro and Veracruz. The quarterfinal scheduled for 8 p.m. ET will be held at the Estadio La Corregidora in Queretaro and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on ESPN Deportes.
What They're Saying
Queretaro manager Victor Manuel Vucetich (via Esto): "We qualified under difficult circumstances, got stronger, earned points and in the end, we achieved our goal. But we're motivated. We are here with that positive attitude that will allow us to face these playoffs and today our goal is to win the championship."
Veracruz manager Carlos Reinoso (via Esto): "Well, I think we could've been better. We could've earned a point against Pachuca, but some referee decisions cost us, just like they did with the penalty in Monterrey. In general terms, the team played well during the tournament. We said it last year, this team needs a player inside the area. Fidel saw [Julio] Furch, he showed me the tape, we asked around Argentina who he was, I didn't see him personally, but he was a player that came to resolve our attacking problems."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Furch did more than resolve Veracruz's scoring problems, he finished as the club's top scorer. In 16 appearances, the 25-year-old has nine goals and three assists.
Queretaro's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Volpi; Corral, Corona, Milke, Osorio; Osuna, Danilinho; Willian, Pineda, Sepulveda; Villa
