The WWE presents the third annual Payback event live this Sunday from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore and while the event isn't rich in history, there have been some great matches in the first two installments.

WWE Frustrated With Daniel Bryan's Injury?

This Sunday night, Seth Rollins will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose in a Fatal 4 Way Match at the third annual event for this franchise in the main event.

Backstage News On Elimination Chamber 2015 Plans

Before "The Architect" defends his gold, here is a look back at the three best matches in the history of Payback.

3) John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt Last Man Standing Match (2014): The Cenation leader and the Eater of Worlds collided in a brutal and barbaric match at last year's event. Both men gave it all they had with Cena answering Sister Abigail and Wyatt coming back after a couple of Attitude Adjustments. After the use of chairs and tables and the involvement of the entire Wyatt Family and The Usos, who all brawled, Cena was able to defeat The New Face of Fear by hitting an Attitude Adjustment onto him and burying him beneath equipment cases for the 10 count.

2) CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho (2013): The Best in the World and Y2J had an epic clash at the inaugural Payback event that was arguably the Match of the Night for that particular evening. Both combatants kicked out of each other's signature moves and had a counter for everything their opponent brought to the table. In the end, Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho and appeared to be on his way to making Punk tap, but the Paul Heyman Guy was able to escape and it took two straight GTS' for Punk to pin Jericho to the mat and walk out of his hometown victorious.

1) The Shield vs. Evolution No Holds Barred Six-Man Elimination Tag Match (2014): These two factions had a series of great bouts last year, but nothing topped their elimination clash at Payback. Before the match could even start, the two trios broke off into pairs and brawled through the crowd in what was a sign of things to come in this knockdown, drag out affair. It appeared as though Evolution had things in hand when it knocked all three men out, including putting Reigns through a table with a Triple Powerbomb, however things were about to change. Reigns nailed Batista with a spear to eliminate him and Orton was out next at the hand of Dean Ambrose, who hit Dirty Deeds on him to eliminate him. Triple H remained in the bout down 3-on-1 and received his trusty sledge hammer to try and even the odds, but after he hit Ambrose with it, Seth Rollins nailed a flying knee to take him out and Reigns hit a spear for the pin and the clean sweep for The Shield. The match lasted over a half hour and was fun throughout as it also marked the final big match for the trio as it split the next night and Rollins turned heel after Batista "quit." These three and Orton now find themselves in the main event of Payback this year, fighting over the richest prize in the game.

Revenge is on the mind of several Superstars this Sunday at Payback, and it's possible that another match takes over the No. 1 slot when all is said and done in Baltimore.
