Backstage News On WWE Elimination Chamber Plans

According to Wrestlingheadlies.com, the WWE was hoping Bryan would return to the squared circle this month and defend the Intercontinental Championship against King Barrett at Payback this Sunday, but after MRI results revealed that Bryan won't be able to return to the ring anytime soon, or possibly ever, plans were changed.

The participants have yet to be announced, but Neville, Sheamus, Ziggler and King Barrett are expected to be in there as four of the six stars.

Per the report, Bryan's latest setback has caused some frustration within the WWE as the company obviously wants what's best for him health wise, but has had to change key plans due to his ailment.

The WWE wants Bryan on television because they have a DVD and other promotions to buildup for him and there is now talk that Bryan's injury prone and could be better suited for a non-wrestling on-screen role.

The talk backstage since Monday has been about Bryan trying to get cleared and there are some people wondering if he'll undergo surgery despite trying to avoid it.

A lot of people feel bad for Bryan within the WWE as he has endured yet another setback.

Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last year at WrestleMania XXX, but had to forfeit the gold in May after undergoing neck surgery and having complications in his right hand that kept him out for the remainder of 2014.

"The Beard" then returned this past January and now his shoulder is keeping him out of action for the foreseeable future.

It remains to be seen what Bryan will decide to do about the injury, but it's possible that the WWE could bring him into the fold in a non-wrestling role.
