Two clubs chasing the Clausura Liga MX title will do battle today in a league match between Santos Laguna and Tigres UANL. The first-division clash scheduled for 8 p.m. ET will be held at the Estadio Corona in Torreon. It can be live streamed here free and via the Univision Deportes mobile app. Additional TV coverage can be found on Univision Deportes.
What They're Saying
Santos Laguna center-back Carlos Izquierdoz (via Esto): "Without a doubt, Tigres is a rival you must respect. They have great players. They finished atop the table for a reason, they are still in the Copa Libertadores for a reason. We are going to face a very good opponent and for us the best part is that we can demonstrate that we have the same quality. Everything is even. I think there was very little difference in the final points total and the quality of play."
Tigres UANL sporting director Carlos Munoz (via Esto): "It's difficult to say [that it's easy to play in two competitions]. In the Liguilla, many teams are starting from scratch and it's completely different. You have all seen it. Boca, River, in the knockout rounds are different and that's something you have to deal with."
