WWE SummerSlam is still three months away, but there are already rumors buzzing around about the card and some speculation points to a Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar possibility at the event.

Projecting and Predicting The Card For WWE Elimination Chamber

Lesnar is on hiatus from the WWE until July as he will be brought back mid-summer to begin a program for SummerSlam on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center.

The term "Orton" was trending on Twitter Tuesday amid rumors that "The Viper" and "The Beast" may clash at the WWE's blockbuster summer event.

Orton vs. Lesnar could be a huge marquee match considering "The Beast" lives up to his name by decimating opponents and Orton has the type of offensive repertoire that could see him conceivably pose a threat to Lesnar.

Lesnar re-signed with the WWE shortly before WrestleMania 31 and agreed to another part-time contract that will see him work SummerSlam and limited other dates.

The WWE announced earlier this year that SummerSlam will return to the state of New York for the first time since 2002 and to New York City for the first time since 1998, breaking a six-year tradition of the event emanating from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The WWE has made SummerSlam into an event that rivals WrestleMania and will be looking for some huge marquee matches to round out the card.

One such bout could see The Apex Predator take on The Beast Incarnate in an all-out war.

Lesnar had a dominant past year in the WWE by ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX last April and then decimating John Cena last year at SummerSlam to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He then destroyed him during their feud.

Lesnar then held onto the WWE World Heavyweight Championship until WrestleMania 31 when he lost the belt without being pinned as current champion Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and pinned Roman Reigns to escape Levi's Stadium with the gold.

"The Beast" could set his sights on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion -- which by August could possibly be Orton - at SummerSlam, or he could meet "The Viper" in a huge match with no title implications.

Anything can happen over the next three months, but there is a lot of buzz about a possible Orton vs. Lesnar match at the WWE's biggest party of the summer.
