The Dallas Cowboys currently look like the favorite to win the NFC East in 2015. On paper, they have the fewest holes of any team in the division. But the games are not played on paper, and Dallas does still have a hole at running back and is in the middle of a contract dispute with one of their best players.

Race Driving Chip Kelly's Roster Decisions?

Dez Bryant has been holding out since being franchise tagged, and he intends to continue doing so until a long-term deal with the Cowboys is reached. But would he be willing to report if the team made another move to establish themselves as a Super Bowl favorite? According to TMZ, Bryant had some interesting things to say on the subject of Adrian Peterson recently.

Bryant admitted that he does not see Peterson being released or traded by Minnesota, but he also said that he thinks it would be "very special" if AP somehow ended up in Dallas. Bryant thinks that he and Peterson would combine to be a virtually unstoppable skill-position duo for the Cowboys.

Adrian Peterson Hoping For Miracle Dallas Trade

"The Vikings not lettin' that happen, 'cause if they did ... the league would know what would happen," said Bryant.

Dallas has been rumored as a landing spot for Peterson for months now, but it looks extremely unlikely that the star running back will be moved at all, let alone to the Cowboys.

However, if Dallas wants to put themselves at the forefront of the Super Bowl conversation and entice Bryant to sign quickly (or at least report without having a long-term deal in place), then it sounds like an Adrian Peterson trade would be a good bet to make it happen.
