The second day of The Players Championship came to a close on Friday, with Jerry Kelly and Kevin Na grabbing a share of the lead.

Rickie Fowler, Branden Grace, David Hearn and Chris Kirk are all two strokes back and round out the top six. Below is a recap of the second day's events (via PGA Tour).

Jerry Kelly: "I really patterned myself after him [Fred Funk] a lot because I was trying to hit the ball farther than I should have, and I saw the success that he was having just hitting the ball in the fairway. Lo and behold, he finally left [for the Champions Tour] and I got to be the, what, the straightest driver percentage leader? Whatever that thing is for a couple years in a row."

Rickie Fowler: "Haven't gotten quite as much as I wanted to out of the round the first two days, but in a great position. The game plan feels really good. Excited about tomorrow and getting off to a good start."

Chris Kirk: "It's been interesting the last couple days not hitting my driver quite like I would like. That was sort of the strength that led to me having such a good year last year, but I was able to recover well and really putted nice."
