England travels from the Caribbean to the North Atlantic this week, for a one-off ODI match-up against the Irish national squad in Dublin.

England has traditionally been the big brother in the head-to-head history between these two squads, but the Irish have made a real name for themselves in international cricket in 2015. They won three games in the Cricket World Cup in February, and would have advanced to the quarterfinals if not for coming out on the wrong end of a tiebreaker technicality versus Pakistan.

England, meanwhile, finished in the basement of group play during the World Cup, and managed only one win in three Tests against the West Indies. They have an upcoming test with New Zealand next week, a showdown that could get ugly quickly (and not in their favor, unless they turn things around stat).

Conditions are expected to be cold and rainy, so don't be surprised if there's a shortened match.
