Hogan spoke at a press conference in Melbourne, Australia last week and said that he approached Vince McMahon after WrestleMania 31 last month about putting him on the card for WrestleMania 32.
According to Hogan's account of the conversation, McMahon said he is open to having Hogan return to the ring.

Hogan set an indoor attendance record when he faced Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III in 1987 in front of a crowd of allegedly over 93,000 people.
The WWE is hoping to set a new attendance record at WrestleMania 32 when they head to the home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3, 2016.
The "Hulkster" said that McMahon is "looking forward" to having him on the mega card.
"Next year, WrestleMania is going to be where the Dallas Cowboys play at the AT&T Stadium and next year they're going to try to break my indoor attendance record," Hogan said at the conference, according to Contact Music. "So, I stopped Vince McMahon in the hallway and said, 'Let me tell you something brother, there's no way you're running WrestleMania next year without Hulk Hogan on the card. Whether it's for my last hurrah and it's my retirement match, whether it's for my next run or whether it's to just beat whoever's got the WWE title and become the champion again. If you guys are in that stadium next year, I'm going to be there.' And Vince McMahon shook my hand and said, 'I look forward to it.'"
Hogan has always said "never say never" in regard to a return to the ring and he's lobbied for a match with John Cena in the past as it would be a battle of the face of the present franchise against the icon of the past.
It remains to be seen if Hogan can pass the necessary physicals to have a match, but by his account McMahon is open to adding him to the card.
Hogan, 61, hasn't competed at WrestleMania since he battled McMahon in a Street Fight at WrestleMania XIX in 2003 in Seattle.
Hogan said if he does return, he wants it to be a huge match.
"If it happened I would want it to be the greatest match of all time, of course," he said. "If it's the end of my career and a huge emotional send-off that would be great, or if it's the beginning of another huge run for Hulkamania and me chasing the dream of winning the WWE title, that would be brilliant. I'm thinking very positively about getting back in the ring."
Hogan is a six-time WWE Champion and it looks like Hulkamania could be running wild on WrestleMania 32.
