AJ Lee and CM Punk are both done with the squared circle, but the former WWE Diva was by the side of her husband as he continued down the road toward his UFC debut.

The Undertaker's WWE Contract Set To Expire Soon

The former WWE Champion walked out on the WWE in January 2014 due to frustration over his standing in the company and being asked to work through constant injury.

Punk was mostly silent after leaving the company, but he spoke on his friend Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast to reveal why he left. Punk said he was upset over being "creatively stifled."

He also took aim at WWE doctor Chris Amann, who he said misdiagnosed him on several occasions and he claimed that he also tried to sweep a concussion he had under the rug at the Royal Rumble on the "Best in the World's" last night with the company.

Though Punk left and was in a relationship with Lee, she remained in the WWE after his departure, though she took a hiatus from last April-June to move in with and marry the former WWE Superstar after the two got engaged.

Punk revealed on the podcast that he received his official termination papers from the WWE on their wedding day.

WWE owner Vince McMahon apologized for the bad timing when he spoke to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on a live podcast on the WWE Network in December.

Lee was by Punk's side that same month when he announced that he signed with UFC, and she drew the ire of the WWE on a couple of occasions -- including when she called Stephanie McMahon out on Twitter for the treatment of the WWE Divas.

Dr. Amann sued Punk and Cabana for defamation after the comments that were made on the podcast, which reportedly was the last straw for Lee and caused the three-time Divas Champion to retire.

Lee left the company shortly after making Nikki Bella tap out at WrestleMania 31 last month after she teamed with Paige to take on The Bella Twins in a tag team bout.

With both of them done with the WWE, the world awaits Punk's UFC debut, which is slated for late 2015.
