The Undertaker's Contract Set To Expire Soon

During the bout, Cena dropped Zayn on his shoulder and it appeared as though the NXT star was injured as the trainer came to check on him, but he continued the match anyway.

The ailment appeared to be legitimate and Zayn is scheduled to undergo some tests to see the severity of the injury.

Hulk Hogan Returning To The Ring At WrestleMania 32?

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the WWE announced that the former NXT Champion is set to undergo an MRI after his bout with Cena.

The match itself was a very good back-and-forth contest with false finishes abound, but in the end Cena hit his modified stunner and the Attitude Adjustment to pin Zayn to the mat.

Zayn kept working despite being tended to by the trainer, but the MRI is set to happen sometime on Tuesday.

Zayn was the latest person to answer the call against the Cenation leader in his weekly open challenges and the two put on a thrilling match in front of a red-hot crowd in Montreal.

Cena took to Twitter to congratulate Zayn on a great match:

Cena is slated to defend his United States Championship against Rusev at Payback on Sunday, May 17 from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md. in an I Quit Match. The contest will mark the fourth straight pay-per-view and WWE Network special that the two have clashed at.

The Bulgarian Brute topped the Cenation leader at Fastlane in February, but Cena won the United States Championship from the Super Athlete at WrestleMania 31 and then successfully defended the star spangled gold against him at Extreme Rules last month in a Russian Chain Match.

It remains to be seen if Zayn's appearance was a one-off thing for the WWE or if he'll be called up permanently like Neville was.

The severity of the injury is also unknown and it could possible affect the WWE's plans for the Canadian Superstar.
