Newlywed Michael Jordan is planning to have a reverse vasectomy in the coming days, according to GossipExtra.com.
Though Jordan has an iron clad prenuptial agreement with new wife Yvette Praetor, the couple is apparently planning to have a child together. The website reports Jordan had a Vasectomy after he got divorce from his first wife, Juanita Vanity.
“That was part of the deal of them getting married,” a source close to the situation said of Praetor convincing the Charlotte Bobcats owner to undergo the procedure. “Yvette was pretty adamant about having children with Mike. He had vasectomy as his first marriage ended.”
Jordan, 50, and Praetor were wed in a lavish Bethesda-by-the-Sea ceremony were they were feted by a huge party on the course golf course of The Bears Club in Jupiter.
Jordan has three adult children with ex-wife Vanity. Sons Jeffrey and Marcus, 24 and 22, are both former University of Central Florida basketball players and daughter Jasmine is a student at Syracuse University.
According to doctors, reconnecting a man’s reproductive organs is by no means a sure thing in guaranteeing the production of children. It does, however, increase the chances by 30 to 50 percent, depending on the time elapsed since the vasectomy.
Jordan D.C.-based spokesperson Estee Porto denies the NBA legend ever had a vasectomy or reversal. But she wouldn’t comment on if the couple has any plans for having children.
