Friday's game was full of controversy as Nikita Kucherov's initial overtime winner was waved off due to goalie interference and he eventually beat Carey Price just over two minutes into the extra frame on a play where the Canadiens thought the Lightning were offside.

It was Kucherov's first goal of the postseason. Tyler Johnson scored his seventh goal of the playoffs for Tampa Bay in the game while Max Pacioretty lit the lamp for a third time for Montreal to tie the game at one goal apiece.

The Lightning expect another close game tonight.

"Every time we play them it seems to be close," Lightning forward Ryan Callahan said. via NHL.com "It's two evenly matched up teams and two good teams, and I think [Friday] night showed that."

The Canadiens are hoping for a change of luck as they've dropped all six meetings with the Lightning this season, including the regular season.

"We had a really tough time during the regular season; we hadn't played our best against Tampa Bay in the regular season for different reasons," Montreal coach Michel Therrien told NHL.com. "But we all understand when you get to the playoffs it's a new season. Teams get a chance to get prepared. We know what we're facing. Our focus is only on one game. And I think from the team's standpoint, we did a lot of good things to be really upbeat and confident for [Sunday] night's game."

Johnson has paced the Lightning with eight points while Kucherov has a goal and a tally for five points in the playoffs.

P.K. Subban has led the Canadiens with five points off of a marker and four tallies while Pacioretty's three markers lead the team.

Price, a Vezina and Hart Trophy finalist, will man the crease for Montreal again after stopping 33 of the 35 shots he faced in Game 1. Price is 4-3 with a 1.85 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage this postseason.

Ben Bishop stands in the blue paint for Tampa Bay after yielding one goal on 43 shots on Friday. Bishop is 5-3 with a 1.68 GAA and a .933 save percentage in the playoffs.

The Lightning look for a 2-0 lead while the Canadiens hope to break even when the puck drops on Game 2 tonight at the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
