So what exactly is at stake in this third and final test series between England and the West Indies?

For starters, England came to the Caribbean first and foremost to establish their confidence. They flamed out during the World Cup under the heat of high expectations, finding themselves eliminated before the knockout stage.

To that end, this test series has been a success win-or-lose. Solid play has earned them one draw and an outright win.

The second goal for them is a desire to retain their third spot in the Test position rankings. Before the series started Pakistan was nipping at their heels from fourth place, but they've struggled in their own series vs. an upstart Bangladesh team. Winning this third test series will keep England fixed in position before they begin a series of ODIs later in the month.

And the West Indies? They're currently in eighth in the Test rankings and hoping to climb higher. Expect them to have an enthusiastic home crowd behind them in Barbados this weekend.
