Today at 3:35 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Angels (10-11) and Oakland Athletics (9-13) take the field for the third and final meeting of their three-game set live from the O.co Coliseum in Oakland.

Los Angeles plays the third contest of a six-game road trip while Oakland closes out a six-match homestand.

These teams have split the first two games of this series with Oakland winning 6-2 in the series-opener on Tuesday and Los Angeles bouncing back with a 6-3 triumph on Wednesday.

Garret Richards (1-1, 3.75 ERA) toes the rubber for the Angels while the Athletics counter with Jesse Chavez, who is 0-1 with a 0.71 ERA through five appearances and one start this season.

Chavez was originally relegated to a long-relief role, but he now finds his way back in the Oakland rotation. Chavez started against the Angels on April 23 and gave up two runs (one earned) in six innings while yielding one hit and three walks and striking out four.

Richards, who was sidelined the first two weeks of the campaign, is coming off of a strong start against the Texas Rangers where he allowed two runs on three hits and added three walks and five strikeouts in seven innings.

Mike Trout launched his fifth homer of the season in the third inning Wednesday and he also drove in three runs and scored twice in Los Angeles' victory. Trout is tied for the AL lead in runs (18) and ranks third in walks (14) and fifth in on-base percentage (.427). Erick Aybar had two RBI in the win for the Angels.

Shortstop Marcus Semien scored a pair of runs for the Athletics in the loss.

Oakland catcher Steven Vogt is fifth in the AL with a 1.027 OPS while outfielder Sam Fuld is second in the league with three triples.

Angels closer Huston Street is tied for second in the AL with eight saves.

Los Angeles enters play in second place in the AL West while Oakland sits in fourth.
