Tiger Wood’s ex-wife “really likes” his new girlfriend Lindsey Vonn and thinks the Olympic skiing champion is a “great influence” on him.

According to the New York Post, Elin Nordegren, herself now rumored to be dating billionaire coal-mining entrepreneur Chris Cline and building a $12 million North Palm Beach home not far from Woods’ multi-million dollar Windermere abode, senses her ex is “happy with Lindsey, and she gets on well with the two children” she shares with the world’s top golfer.

That would seem a far cry from what Us Weekly reported just last month when a cover-story piece opined Nordegren “hated” Vonn and was “angry” at Woods for daring to even allow their 5 and 4-year-old to even be in her company.

Woods, 37, and Nordegren were divorced in 2010 after his much publicized string of infidelities became fodder for the tabloids. He and Vonn, 28, began dating last fall and in recent months have gone even more public with their relationship.

Just this week, Vonn was seen walking the grounds of the Muirfield golf course with Woods as he tuned up in preparation for the ongoing British Open. Vonn also opened up about the couple’s relationship in Vogue’s August issue, telling reporters: “We immediately clicked. It was just one of those things.”

Just the same, the once-divorced Vonn told the magazine she has no plans of ever marrying again and has made her feelings known to Woods. “No, thanks! I am definitely not getting married. To anyone,” she told Vogue.

When not arm-and-arm with Woods, Vonn is currently training for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia, and rehabbing from knee surgery following a horrific injury in February during the world championships in Austria.
