After one day of action Tiger Woods is convincing the golf world that his elbow feels better, firing off a 2-under par first round at Muirfield at the British Open. Day 2 of the oldest tournament in golf can be live streamed here.

Tiger started off a bit slow, bogeying the first hole and making par on holes two and three before picking up his first birdie of The Open Championship on the fourth hole. Woods' best stretch of the day was on holes 10 through 13, when he birdied three out four, making par on No. 12.

Tiger's top rival, Phil Mickelson, is tied at 2-under par with him, and coming off a Scottish Open victory that has him brimming with confidence.

The surprise of the British Open so far has been the subpar performance of Rory McIlroy, who stands at a shocking 8-over par, racking up a whopping six bogeys and two double bogeys, with just two birdies on Day 1.

"It's strange, I mean, I wish I could stand up here and tell you guys what's wrong or what I need to do to make it right, because I feel like I've got the shots," McIlroy said. "It's just a matter of going through the right process to hit them, and that's something that I obviously haven't been doing recently. I don't know what you can do. You've just got to try and play your way out of it. But it's nothing to do with technique. It's all mental out there. And then I just need to concentrate, obviously. But sometimes I feel like I'm walking around out there and I'm unconscious."

While the course was tough on most, Zach Johnson did just fine, shooting a 5-under par 66 in Round 1. He holds a one stroke lead on Rafael Cabrera Bello and Mark O'Meara.
