The 2015 WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship will begin on Wednesday. Players will be divided into 16 groups of four players and play round-robin matches at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

The final 16 bracket will be completed on Saturday and Sunday.

What They're Saying

Jamie Donaldson (via PGA TOUR): "You have to play hard, keep your head down and press on."

J.B. Holmes: "Everyone out here is a great player. You have to prepare yourself a little differently, knowing you're going to be out here three days, but you have to be ready for each match."

Graeme McDowell: "Even if you lose on Day 1, you still have something to play for. Even if you win your first couple matches, you can go out on the third day. There's so much to play for this week."

The Favorites

Jordan Spieth: Until he reveals a weakness in his game, the reigning Masters champion should be considered a favorite in every tournament.

Jason Day: If anyone is prepared to move on from the Zurich Classic in New Orleans, it's Day. His 14-3 record at this event cannot go unnoticed.

Jimmy Walker: Unheralded, Walker has enjoyed a consistent run the last two years on the tour. Now fully rested, look for the 36-year-old to recapture his Texas Open form.

Patrick Reed: Another young Texan native, Reed won the 2014 WGC-Cadillac Championship and will look to do the same on Sunday.

Prediction

Spieth is the safe pick and the best bet, but how he handles his own success remains to be seen. That said, even his tied-for-11th performance at the RBC Heritage was promising enough to double down on his efforts.
