Teams Dropping Out Of Adrian Peterson Sweepstakes?

Still, the Vikings are trying to see if there are any worthwhile offers out there for the superstar back, and several teams have reportedly inquired about his price. It is believed that the Vikings would like to move Peterson this week, prior to the NFL draft.

One of the teams that has long been rumored as a possible destination is Dallas. The Cowboys have an obvious need at running back, Jerry Jones loves superstars, and Peterson has said that he'd like to play there. Seems like a perfect fit, right?

Tony Romo Guarantees Super Bowl Win For Dallas?

Apparently not. The Cowboys have heavily researched several running back prospects, leading many to think that they were content to fill their need in the draft. And according to Yard Barker, they are officially out of the running for Peterson.

There is no word yet on whether Dallas is balking because of the asking price from the Vikings or if they simply do not want to pay nearly $13 million for a running back in each of the next three seasons.

Regardless of the reason, Dallas fans should not expect to see Peterson wearing a star on his helmet in 2015.
