WWE superstar and former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar had a severe bout with diverticulitis in 2009 that threatened his athletic career. He's clearly over it though, as TMZ spotted Lesnar and his wife Sable chowing down on $500 worth of Italian food Monday night.
According to the report, Lesnar chomped on a mighty list of dishes including, Ahi tuna with asparagus, a margherita pizza pie, chicken parmesan with triple extra chicken, a full bowl of parpadelle Bolognese, and a slice of cheesesteak.
After all that food, Lesnar and Sable were reported to have tipped their servers very well. Lesnar may be packing on the pounds in preparation for an upcoming feud with another former WWE champion CM Punk.
Punk and Lesnar shared the same manager, Paul Heyman, who turned on Punk Sunday night at WWE's Money in the Bank pay-per-view. The match was a six-man, free-for-all ladder match in which the winner must climb a ladder and retrieve a briefcase suspended from the ceiling.
At one point in the melee, Punk had a clear shot at grabbing the briefcase, but Heyman and Curtis Axel attacked him. Heyman used another ladder to bust open a wound on Punk's head, and Randy Orton eventually won the match.
On Monday Night Raw the next night Heyman mocked Punk, reminding him of his WrestleMania loss to The Undertaker, and telling him he is not the best in the world. Punk responded by saying he wanted to burn everything around him before telling Heyman, "I'm going to keep you alive just long enough to look you in the eye and hurt you worst of all."
After their verbal sparring, Punk was brutalized by the much-larger Lesnar, who left the ringside area with Punk twisted in pain near the announcer's table. This feud will most likely lead to a highly anticipated Summerslam showdown.
