Tonight at 6 p.m. ET, the Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Ligntning take the ice at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay for Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Round 1 Stanley Cup playoff series.

After a heartbreaking loss at home, Detroit looks to take a 3-2 series edge back to Michigan with it while Tampa Bay looks to shore up home ice with a win.

These teams split the last two games in Florida, with the Red Wings winning Game 1 by a 3-2 win and the Lightning taking Game 2 by a 5-1 final. When the series shifted to Detroit, the home team won Game 3 with a 3-0 outing.

All was going well for the Red Wings in Game 4 as they had a 2-0 lead with two minutes left, but the Lightning surged. Ondrej Palat and Tyler Johnson both scored just over a minute a part to tie the game and Johnson then lit the lamp in overtime for the thrilling come-from-behind win.

Tampa Bay is taking a modest approach.

"All we did was put ourselves back in the series. We didn't win the series," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said Friday per NHL.com. "Clearly, [Game 5] is a pivotal game."

Detroit knows that Game 4 was just a setback, not a dagger.

"Every championship team I've been around has faced some adversity," cpach Mike abcock told NHL.com. "You never get better without adversity. So you embrace adversity."

Johnson has a team-best four goals and five points in the series for the Lightning while Pavel Datsyuk has paved the way for the Red Wings, notching two markers and one helper for a team-high three points.

Steven Stamkos is still in search of his first goal of the series after ranking second in the NHL with 43 markers in the regular season.

In net, Tampa Bay turns to Ben Bishop, who has stopped eight of the 82 shots he's faced thus far.

Detroit counters with Petr Mrazek in the blue paint and he has let in nine goals on 115 attempts.

It's a pitvotal Game 5 when the Red Wings and Lightning face-off with the series tied 2-2 live tonight from the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay.
