The Minnesota Vikings understandably want a major return for Adrian Peterson. The man is among the best players in the NFL, and he is a bona fide superstar. But he also carries a lot of baggage for the team that trades for him, and he has a hefty price tag for the next three years as well.

DeMarco Murray 'Not Worried About Cowboys'

The Vikings have said that they want to trade Peterson before the draft, which is less than a week away. They insist that they will keep him on the roster if he is not moved before the draft. But finding a trade partner is getting harder and harder, according to Pro Football Talk.

Originally, reports indicated that there were six teams that were interested in trading for Peterson, but that list appears to be growing smaller. The Dallas Cowboys have been the focal point of many of the trade rumors, but it looks increasingly likely that they will fill their running back needs in the draft instead.

Dallas Scrapping Adrian Peterson Trade?

Now, it looks like there may only be three teams interested in dealing for Peterson. Those teams are reportedly the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Atlanta Falcons may or may not still have an interest, but they are not putting enough out to be considered a contender.

As mentioned earlier, Minnesota is more than happy to keep Peterson if the right trade package comes along. They also reportedly want a first round pick in the deal, which is something that the Buccaneers and Jaguars will undoubtedly be unwilling to give up.

Peterson wants out of Minnesota, but dreams do not always come true. By this time next week, he may have learned that firsthand.
