The Braxton Miller-to-Alabama rumors are gaining steam.

The Ohio State quarterback is competing with teammates J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones for the Buckeyes’ starting job. Given that Miller only has one more year of eligibility and is rehabbing an injured shoulder, the common consensus is that he only has an outside chance at winning the gig.

Moreover, given that Miller is a fifth year senior who can transfer anywhere in the nation without sitting out a year, many think he will move programs rather than watch Buckeyes games from the bench in Columbus.

This week Alabama has emerged as a top hypothetical destination. Nick Saban even addressed rumors that Miller was coming aboard; he said there were no plans in the mix at the moment but that the Crimson Tide would always have room for quality players.
