Larry Fitzgerald is too classy to make a demand for his organization to trade for a play.

But when he talked about the value Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson would add to any team that acquired him, the Arizona Cardinals should listen.

NFL.com reported that Fitzgerald, the eight-time Pro Bowler, appeared on the NFL Network's "Around the NFL on Wednesday to discuss Peterson's situation.

"Adrian Peterson is arguably the best back in the NFL," Fitzgerald said. "You know, he's been unbelievable. If he were to leave Minnesota, which I think is maybe a bit unlikely, he would be a huge, huge playmaker for whatever team he went to."

Peterson has made it known that he wants out of Minnesota, but the Vikings aren't about to let him go without what they feel is fair value.

"You have to look at what he's able to do, you know, in terms of controlling the line of scrimmage and breaking short gains and making long gains and finishing in the end zone. I mean, he's the complete package," said Fitzgerald. "What he's worth, I'm not a GM, I have no idea on compensation or players. What I do know, he's a dynamic talent and he will be an asset to anybody."

The Cardinals went 11-6 last year and reached the playoffs with a rushing attack that ranked 31st out of 32 NFL teams with an average of 81.8 yards per game. They also finished the season without Carson Palmer, who suffered a torn ACL in November last season.

Palmer will turn 35 in December, and the window of opportunity could be closing for the Cardinals, with Fitzgerald 32 before the 2915 starts.

Right now, the Cardinals have running back Andre Ellington and not much else in the backfield. Fitzgerald called Ellington the team's "bell cow," NFL.com reported, but added that he thinks the Cardinals need to find complementary players.

"I think we're going to have multiple backs that are going to help us."

Fitzgerald has to be hoping that Peterson will be part of that help.
