Tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET, the Anaheim Ducks and Winnipeg Jets take the ice at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg for Game 4 of their Western Conference Round 1 best-of-seven series as part of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Anaheim is seeking a sweep after putting a stranglehold on the series by taking a 3-0 lead while Winnipeg is hopeful that it can notch a win on home ice and force a Game 5.

The Ducks took Games 1 and 2 in Anaheim with 4-2 and 2-1 victories while they topped the Jets in Game 3 when the series shifted to Winnipeg Monday by a 5-4 score in a heartbreaker in overtime.

The Jets have had one-goal leads entering the third period of each game, but the Ducks have stormed back to win every one of them, becoming the first club to do that in NHL history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

That was the case again in Game 3 when Bryan Little scored his first goal of the postseason to stake Winnipeg to a 4-3 lead entering the final frame.

Ryan Kesler netted the equalizer late in the third period to force overtime and Rickard Rakell then found the twine to win the game 5-4 and provide Anaheim a 3-0 series lead.

The Ducks set an NHL record this season by winning 18 games where they've trailed at some point in the third period.

"It's not one we've planned," coach Bruce Boudreau said via NHL.com. "We've come out to try to have a great first period, a great second period and a great third period. The only thing it really tells us is that the team never quits. We really would like to jump out of the gate and come back with a lead."

Though the Jets have been on the doorstep of victory in Games 1-3, they have fallen short of winning the franchise's first postseason game. Winnipeg also felt it was outplayed in Game 2.

"In Game 2, Anaheim was the better team, especially early in that game," coach Paul Maurice told NHL.com. "They were quicker than we were. I [did not feel] that [in Game 3]. They got chances last night, and we got chances. The things we need to do better over the course of playing the hockey game, we need to do better."

Lee Stempniak, Tyler Myers (power play) and Blake Wheeler all scored their first goals of the series last game.

Corey Perry lit the lamp for the third time this postseason on Monday while Cam Fowler and Jakob Silfverberg also found the back of the net. Perry has five points in the series.

In net, Anaheim turns to Frederik Andersen, who has won all three games of this series and stopped 84 of the 91 shots he's faced thus far.

Winnipeg counters with Ondrej Pavelec in the blue paint and he has yielded 11 goals on the 103 shots he's faced.

If the Montreal Canadiens fail to defeat the Ottawa Senators in their Game 4, Anaheim will become the first team to advance in the 2014-15 Stanley Cup playoffs with a victory.

The Ducks look to sweep their way into the next round while the Jets hope to win their first playoff game in franchise history and extend the series when the lights come up at the MTS Centre in Game 4 of this series as part of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
