Two days after announcing her retirement, AJ Lee fired off a symbolic tweet with a picture of her bags packed on April 5 and then her Twitter went silent for over two weeks.

The three-time Divas Champion broke that silence on Tuesday, thanking her fans for their support and for getting #ThankYouAJ and #AJTaughtMe trending on Twitter in the days after her departure.
Lee took to Twitter to show that the support from the WWE Universe didn't go unnoticed:
So you guys got #ThankYouAJ and #AJTaughtMe trending for days??? I have the most badass fans on earth.

5 Potential Feuds For Bray Wyatt
Lee announced on April 3 that she was retiring as an active in-ring competitor in the WWE, ending her career with the company on good terms. The organization has supported her decision to depart and even tweeted a photo gallery of her out while thanking her for her time spent there.
The reason behind the two-time Diva of the Year's departure is uncertain, but speculation has circulated that it has something to do with her husband CM Punk's impending lawsuit with WWE's Dr. Chris Amann.
Punk walked out on the WWE in January 2014 on the day after the Royal Rumble event and he has since never returned to Vince McMahon's wrestling company.
"The Best in the World" mostly stayed silent following his departure, but he stopped being mum on the subject when he appeared on his friend Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast in November.
Punk laid into the WWE during the interview and was angry for many reasons, including them "creatively stifling" him. Punk also blasted Dr. Amann, saying he misdiagnosed a concussion and staph infection the former WWE Champion claimed he had.
Dr. Amann swiftly responded with a defamation lawsuit against Cabana and Punk, which may have been the last straw for Lee's tenure with the company.
Lee was dating Punk when he walked out of the WWE and following the two getting engaged, she took a hiatus from the company. Lee returned and remained with the company while her husband publicly bashed it.
Lee was by Punk's side when he announced last December that he was joining UFC.
The former Divas Champion drew the ire of the WWE by being there and there were also reportedly some issues with her Slammy Award speech in December as well as when she publicly called out Stephanie McMahon on Twitter for the treatment of WWE Divas.
Still, at least publicly, things seemed find between Lee and the WWE at the end, but it just realistically likely couldn't have worked out much longer between them considering her husband's issue with the organization.
Punk has said he will never return to the squared circle again as he prepares for his first foray into the Octagon later this year while Lee, at least for now, is also a retired wrestler.
Lee is a two-time Diva of the Year (2012, 2014) and a three-time Divas Champion. She had a great following and she took some time to thank her various supporters on Twitter.
