Outspoken NFL kicker Jay Feely likely won't be getting a Christmas card from Tim Tebow any time soon.

CBSSports.com reported that Feely, who played the last month of the season with the Chicago Bears as an injury replacement for the injured Robbie Gould, took a shot at the former Heisman Trophy winner who signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tony Romo disses Tom Brady about Deflategate on CMAs?

He went on "Jim Rome on Showtime" and made a statement to the host that should resonate with Tebow for a long while.

"He was the single-worst quarterback I ever saw in my career in the NFL," said Feely who spent 15 years in the league.

"I watched him one day ... I sat and watched him do routes on air with Ken Whisenhunt as we were playing the Broncos," Feely said, referring to when he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals. "And routes on air, there's no [defensive backs], you know exactly what he's going to run, there's no pass rush. He had like 13 incompletions on routes on air. Jim, you and I could go out and do routes on air and we would complete most of our passes."

And this is coming from a man who says he likes Tebow.

"He's such a dichotomy for me," Feely said, "because I really respect the person, the man, the things that he believes in and the things he does off the field."

It's not the first time this year that Feely has stepped up with a critical sound bite.

During his time with the Bears, Feely talked about the lack of leadership from quarterback Jay Cutler and former head coach Marc Trestman.

On Cutler, Feely told dawindycity.com, "Not as a leader, no. That's not who he is. You're going to have a vacuum there. So you have to know that as a general manager or a head coach, 'Hey, we're not going to have that leadership from this position, so we've really got to have other guys that are going to step up and are going to be our verbal leaders.' "

On Trestman, Feely said, ""I think with Marc Trestman, he was a little awkward when he spoke. So, he really didn't connect with guys. You can have that as a coach if you have a strong locker room. If you don't have leaders in the locker room, [and] you don't have a coach who really inspires, then you end up having a losing season."
