Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit Red Wings face-off in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Round 1 best-of-seven series live from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit as part of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Tampa Bay will look to steal one on the road while Detroit will hope to take advantage of splitting the first two games of the series to gain home-ice advantage in the set.

The Red Wings took Game 1 of this set by a 3-2 margin on Wednesday while the Lightning roared back with a 5-1 victory in Game 2 on Saturday.

This game can be live streamed for free here.

The Lightning won just 18 games on the road in the regular season, the fewest out of any of the 16 teams in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Tampa Bay is hopeful that it will keep within its system and play well regardless of the venue.

"That's the biggest thing," Lightning forward Ryan Callahan said via NHL.com. "Playing the same way on the road that we did at home. ... We do have to win one on the road to take the series. It starts with Game 3 and that's all we're looking at and concentrating on."

The Lightning scored three second period goals in Game 2 en route to tying up the series at one-game apiece. Alex Killorn, Andrej Sustr and Tyler Johnson each found the back of the net in succession in the middle frame.

The man advantage was also a strength, going 2-for-4 as Johnson opened up the scoring with a tally up a man and Valtterri Filppula added a late power play goal.

The Red Wing's power play had a tough day, going 0-for-4 in the game while Tomas Tatar's first marker of the postseason stood as the lone goal for Detroit in Game 2.

Tampa Bay will be without defenseman Jason Garrison (upper-body) while Detroit will have forward Justin Abdelkader (hand) for the first time this series.

Abdelkader's addition to the lineup allows coach Mike Babcock to put captain Henrik Zetterberg and the skillful Pavel Datsyuk on separate lines.

Abdelkader is likely to skate between Zetterberg and Gustav Nyquist while Datsyuk will be in between Darren Helm and Tatar.

"Putting [Zetterberg] back in the middle and giving him a winger, a guy that can skate and work for them, helps," Babcock told NHL.com. "[Abdelkader] is a big body. He's an everyday-er. He competes hard like [Darren] Helm."

In the net, rookie Petr Mrazek will suit up again for Detroit and he has allowed six goals on 64 shots through the first two games.

Tampa Bay counters with Ben Bishop in the blue paint and he has yielded four goals on 38 attempts.

It's a pivotal swing game when the Lightning and Red Wings play in Detroit for the first time this series in Game 3 of the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs live from the Joe Louis Arena.
