Two clubs chasing UEFA Champions League glory will do battle today in a match between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. The quarterfinal clash scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET will be held at the Nou Camp in Barcelona and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 1.
Do They Have To?
Yes, matches are played on the pitch, not on paper; however, this one is all but over.
Not only do Barcelona enter Tuesday with a 3-1 aggregate lead, but they do so with the added benefit of boasting three away goals. At best, PSG will need a 3-0 victory to advance to the semifinals of the Champions League.
Even manager Laurent Blanc is aware of the task at hand. The issue isn't scoring goals, it's conceding them that worries the Frenchman.
"We all know the task is extremely difficult," Blanc said (via UEFA). "Our problem is that we have to score goals, though I do believe we will have plenty of chances. We have a small chance of winning, but it's practically impossible not to concede against Barcelona."
The In-Form Player
Edinson Cavani proved to be futile in the first leg, making the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic a crucial one. In five Champions League appearances, the 33-year-old has two goals and an average of nearly one key pass (0.8).
