Britt McHenry is probably having the worst week of her professional life right now. She is suspended from work at ESPN and has been the subject of thousands of articles decrying her behavior after she was openly hostile toward an employee at a tow truck company and flung insults at the woman for all manner of things.

ESPN Suspends Britt McHenry After Profane Rant

McHenry has apologized on Twitter, and many seem to believe that it really was just a case of her being caught in a rough situation on a bad day rather than her actually being a bad person. However, that has done little to stem the tide of people that are also calling for her to lose her job for treating a fellow human with such contempt.

But not everyone has grabbed a torch and pitchfork in the wake of McHenry's tow truck tirade. According to TMZ, Ashlyn Harris has spoken out in support of the ESPN reporter, making her one of the few famous faces to back McHenry.

Harris is a goaltender for team USA, and she says that she has known McHenry for years. Harris adds that McHenry is not a bad person, and that something must have been up for Britt to act like such a jerk in that video.

"This doesn't seem like her at all," Harris said ... "Britt has always been really quiet, laid back. She's a really big sweetheart. You know with videos these days people can take that and screw things around, not really sure if that happened here."

"All I know is that the Britt that I knew in high school was a great kid, a really good friend and teammate," Harris added.

McHenry and Harris were teammates at Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, Florida while the two were growing up.
