The second day of the 2015 RBC Heritage came to a close on Friday, with Troy Merritt taking a four-stroke lead.

Matt Kuchar and John Merrick are tied for second, while Jim Furyk and Graeme McDowell round out the top five. Below is recap of the second day's events (via PGA Tour).

What They're Saying

Troy Merritt: "I didn't know that the course record was 61. Had I known that, I might've started to hit some shanks or trying to hole some shots. It was just a lot of fun out there, fun to play in front of the fans."

Matt Kuchar: "The conditions were easier today than yesterday, so I think we all got out there thinking this is a good opportunity to take advantage of some tamer conditions, and I got off to a good start."

Graeme McDowell: "Like I say, 'When you're on, you're on,' I suppose. And he's [Merritt] the hottest player on the planet right now and rightly so, and great for the tournament that he's on the leaderboard going into the weekend."

Stats of the Day

Tony Finau had the longest drive of the day, measuring at 311.5 yards, while Chris Troud had the longest putt at 51 feet, nine inches.
