The Dallas Cowboys have been in the headlines a lot recently because of star receiver Dez Bryant. The star wide receiver has thus far been absent from the team's offseason workout program while his representatives try to work out a long-term deal to keep him with the franchise.

Dez Bryant's Absence Not Worrying Dallas?

The Cowboys have not seemed worried about Bryant's absence to this point, and they are confident that a deal will get done ahead of the July 15 deadline. There has seemingly been little progress on a deal to this point, and now it appears that Bryant is making some moves to try and speed things up, according to ESPN.

Bryant's attorney, Jordan Siev, has apparently been having enough problems with David Wells, one of Bryant's advisers, that a cease-and-desist letter has been sent to end he formal business relationship between Wells and Bryant.

The dispute between the two is believed to be a major reason why Bryant still does not have a long-term deal with the team.

For the part, the Cowboys want Wells to remain involved with Bryant either by handling security when he goes out or by managing some of his day-to-day responsibilities so that Bryant can focus on football.

None of the parties commented on the termination of the relationship beyond acknowledging that the aforementioned letter had been sent to Wells.

If the relationship between Wells and Siev has been a major obstacle, then the possibility exists that progress could start getting made on Bryant's contract in the near future.
