Trayvon Martin Prosecutor's Closing Argument Insists George Zimmerman Profiled Unarmed Teen

George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin every step of the way on the night he confronted and eventually shot to death the 17-year-old unarmed teen on the night of February 26, 2012 in the Sanford Fla. gated community neighborhood where he was visiting his father, state prosecutors told a riveted jury during closing arguments late Thursday.

According to CNN, lead prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda told jurors “this innocent 17-year-old was profiled as a criminal. He was one of those a**holes who get away,” added de la Rionda, drawing from Zimmerman’s own words in the widely circulated call he placed to police that night where he can also be overheard uttering “ these f***ing punks.”

Martin died of a single gunshot blast to chest after Zimmerman, a self-appointed neighborhood watch patrolman, disobeyed direct police orders to seize with following the teen and instead confronted him after he admitted to investigators he thought him suspicious because “he was wearing a hoodie and slowly walking in the rain.”

Zimmerman, 29, has pled not guilty to the second-degree murder charge and attorneys for him are expected to provide their closing arguments sometime on Friday. Zimmerman, who did not testify, has said he killed Martin in self-defense after the Miami teenager accosted him.

"He profiled him as a criminal. He assumed that Trayvon Martin was up to no good. And that's what led to his death," de la Rionda said before going on to attack many defense arguments about what happened that rainy night:

Earlier in the day, Judge Debra Nelson ruled jurors will be allowed to also consider manslaughter charges against Zimmerman.
