Dennis Rodman, Nobel Prize Wannabe, Set To Launch "Bad Boy Vodka"

Less than a week after proclaiming he deserves to be considered for a Nobel Peace Prize, Dennis Rodman plans to start selling and distributing “Bad Boy Vodka” later this month.

A member of the Detroit Pistons “Bad Boy” teams that won back-to-back NBA titles starting in 1989, Rodman is known as one of the best rebounders to ever play the game. And after a string of financial setbacks that ended in him squandering much of the small fortune he amassed over the course of his 14 year NBA career, Rodman is hoping this venture will serve as a rebound of sorts for him.

Just last year, the L.A. Times reported not only was the 52-year-old NBA Hall of Famer “extremely sick,” but $808,935 behind in back child support to his 9-and10-year-old children with his third wife.

But with the launch of “Bad Boy Vodka,” the six-time NBA champ is hoping to put that all behind him. In a press release, the company stated: “The Company developed the product from inception, utilizing basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman’s “bad boy” reputation, adding a smooth and edgy twist to a classic spirit. The taste is incredible, the bottle is a work of art, and the brand is already recognizable.”

In a recent “Where are they now?” cover piece, Rodman told Sports Illustrated he feels he deserves a Nobel Prize based on the work he’s doing in easing tensions between the U.S. and North Korea.

“Why it’s been left to me to smooth things over, I don’t know,” he told SI. “Dennis Rodman, of all people. Keeping us safe is really not my job; it’s the black guy’s [President Obama] job. But I’ll tell you this: If I don’t finish in the top three for the next Nobel Peace Prize, something’s seriously wrong.”
