Much like Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez at Real Madrid, there is no future for Radamel Falcao at Manchester United. The 29-year-old has failed to return to form since joining from AS Monaco on loan, prompting the rumor mill to find him a new home.
Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Offered to Southampton
According to Tuttosport (via Goal Transfer Talk), Juventus is one possible destination. The Old Lady is reportedly negotiating a deal with Monaco; however, the principality club wants €48 million. Juventus would rather acquire the striker on loan.
Should negotiations fall through, Liverpool is ready to pounce.
According to the Daily Star, the Mario Balotelli experiment is over and the club is ready to take a significant hit on the £16 million paid in the last summer transfer window. Falcao is just one of the many strikers Brendan Rodgers is considering to support an often-injured Daniel Sturridge.
Transfer Gossip or Plausible Rumor
Like most rumors, Juventus' pursuit of Falcao should be taken with a grain of salt. Already boasting a trio of Alvaro Morata, Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente, there is no room in Turin for a fourth striker still struggling to recapture his form.
Especially at a €48 million price tag.
Liverpool, however, provide a more realistic opportunity. The Reds are yet to recover from the departure of Luis Suarez and are in desperate need of true No. 9. As seen with Sturridge, Rodgers has a proven track record of rejuvenating fallen strikers and Falcao would benefit from a change of scenery.
Both scenarios are unlikely given Monaco's asking price, but of the two, Liverpool is more fact than fiction.
