Anna Benson Arrest Update: Kris Benson Seeks To Strip Wife Of Child Custody Rights

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Kris Benson has asked a Georgia judge to strip his estranged wife of all custody rights of their three children after she allegedly burst into his home carrying a gun and demanding as much as $30,000.

Anna Benson was arrested late last week after Kris Benson called police and they arrived to find her armed with a revolver, a hatchet, an expandable baton and a Taser. According to TMZ, she also had a knife stuffed in her waistband and was wearing a bulletproof vest and an ammo belt.

Kris Benson filed the emergency motion late Tuesday demanding full legal and physical custody of his children. TMZ reports he already has primary physical custody of the kids, but still shared legal custody with his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Attorneys for Kris Benson argued Anna's arrest for felony assault and overall behaviors this week prove she is not stable enough to even have partial custody. Based on her growing paranoia, including suggesting that the FBI might be following her, they also intimated that Benson has recently suspected she might even be using hard drugs.

Anna Benson previously starred on the reality TV show Baseball Wives. She is also known for once boasting that “she would sleep with all her husband’s teammates if he ever cheated on her.”

Kris Benson last pitched for the Arizona Diamond back in 2010 and compiled a career record of 70-75 with a 4.41 ERA.
