There may be more than meets the eye behind WWE Diva Naomi's attack on Paige this week on Monday Night RAW from London, England.

Paige, a native of Norwich England, was booked to win a Divas Battle Royal on RAW at the O2 Arena in London, but was savagely attacked after the bout by Naomi, who later cut a heel promo regarding the events that unfolded.
Paige won the match and therefore became the No. 1 contender for Nikki Bella's Divas Championship at Extreme Rules on April 26 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., but that may not happen now.

The two-time Divas Champion is scheduled to film WWE Studios' movie Santa's Little Helpers later this month, so Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the plans for Extreme Rules could change following the attack.
The WWE may have used the beat down from Naomi as a way to write Paige off of television, and the company is teasing a storyline update on her very soon.
Originally, the WWE revealed in kayfabe that Paige suffered internal injuries from the beating, but the organization likely won't further the story until later this week -- possibly on Thursday's SmackDown, which films in London on Tuesday.
The WWE's Divas division has taken a bit of a hit lately as three-time champion AJ Lee announced her retirement earlier this month and now if Paige takes a hiatus, that's two of the biggest babyfaces absent for the rest of April into May.
Lee and Paige teamed up to defeat The Bella Twins in a tag team match at WrestleMania 31 in what proved to be Lee's final high-profile contest with the company.
The WWE turning Naomi heel means it's void of yet another babyface Diva, so it's unclear what's going to happen from here, though there are rumors that some NXT Divas may be called up soon.
The WWE could always work the schedule around Paige and have her face Nikki at Extreme Rules anyway, but it remains to be seen where this angle is heading.
