The NFL Draft is a time of excitement for teams and their fans. Everyone wants to see the next wave of talent enter the league, and fans anxiously await the selections of their teams, wondering if the franchise will make the right choices that will put them squarely into the conversation as Super Bowl contenders.

The draft is also a time of hope, as the right player can turn the fortunes of a franchise. Often, these players are quarterbacks, and they get taken near the top of the draft. Jameis Winston is the latest such player, and while few doubt his abilities on the field, many have concerns about his character. Those concerns have led to Winston being the most heavily spied-on draft prospect of all time, according to Yahoo! Sports.

George Whitfield Jr., the quarterback guru that Winston has trained with this offseason, says that teams have been going to great lengths to do their homework on Winston, and that includes trying to watch him when he thinks that he is not being watched.

"They've staged people," Whitfield said. "Yeah, there are teams that have staged people on different flights he had, just to kind of be in the midst - a fly on the wall. No [Jameis wasn't aware of it], but I had a team official tell me that. They were aware of another team that said they wanted to do that."

"[Teams] have had all last year, all this year," Whitfield continued. "[They've used] private eyes. I know people have interviewed his elementary school teachers, bus drivers, team bus drivers, people that gave him rides at the Heisman ceremony. Pilots. ... Local restaurants. The lady at the Florida State cafeteria. All that stuff. And hey, if that's what they feel they need to do to ensure themselves so come draft day they can get up on the table for him, then that's what you've got to do."
