The judge in the Aaron Hernandez murder case has ordered the state to make more of the evidence they plan to use against the former New England Patriots All-Pro tight end available to the media.
According to the Associated Press, in lifting an order to seal much of the evidence, the judge ruled that search warrants and related affidavits used to secure them be made available to the media by 2 p.m. today. The judge handed down the ruling late Monday following a request made by several news organizations.
Bristol County District Attorney Samuel Sutter said he won't appeal the judge's Monday ruling. It wasn't immediately clear if defense attorneys would.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail. His attorneys have described the case against him as circumstantial and insist he is eager to clear his name.
Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace have also been charged in connection with the case.
