John Cena had his hands full with Rusev at WrestleMania 31, but he still had his eye on the long awaited debut of Sting at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on March 29.

Rumors On The Rock, Ronday Rousey and Hulk Hogan For WrestleMania 32

In a video that was recently released, Cena spoke prior to WrestleMania 31 and he shared his thoughts on Sting finally joining the WWE and wrestling Triple H at the company's biggest show of the year.

"As time goes by, you think something's never going to happen," Cena said of Sting's arrival in the WWE. "I'm so glad it did because WWE is the penultimate in sports entertainment and Sting belongs here. I'm so glad he's wrestling on Sunday and that he'll actually have a match in the WWE."

While Cena went on to be successful in winning the United States Championship from Rusev at WrestleMania 31, Sting ultimately fell to Triple H in his first match with the company.

After years of close-calls and negotiations, Sting finally joined the WWE and though he was rumored to face The Undertaker, he clashed with "The Game" after the two started their feud back at the Survivor Series in November.

After D-Generation X (Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac and eventually Shawn Michaels) interfered on behalf of Triple H and the nWo (Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) came to the aid of Sting, "The Game" eventually put him away after hitting him with a sledgehammer, ending Sting's first-ever contest with the company.

"The Vigilante's" future with the WWE is up in the air, but he said a few weeks back in a special interview that aired on the WWE Network after Monday Night RAW that he'd jump at another opportunity to compete for the WWE.

"I don't know," Sting said when Renee Young asked him about his future in the WWE. "I don't know what the future holds, but I do know this...I don't know. I don't know what the future holds, I really don't know. I don't know what opportunities the WWE might throw my way, but whatever they do throw my way, I'm gonna reach out and I'm gonna grab it. And if they don't throw anything my way, well that's just too bad. It's a crying shame as far as I'm concerned."

Regarding Cena, he almost appeased fans that have been pining for a heel turn as he told Chris Jericho on his live Talk is Jericho podcast on the WWE Network this past Monday that plans were in place for his character to change when he feuded with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in their initial feud heading into WrestleMania XXVIII in 2012.

Cena said he recorded new theme music and spent $5,000 to have new gear made for him. According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Cena canceled the order and told the seamstress, Sue Kotulski, to use the money toward new outfits for developmental talents in NXT.

Perhaps, the "Cenation" leader and "The Vigilante" will one day cross paths in a WWE ring.
