Bruce Jenner has been a popular topic of conversation for weeks now. The former Olympic gold medalist announced earlier this year that he will undergo a gender transition and become a woman, which is something that he has been thinking about for a while apparently.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Jenner has agreed to appear on a special edition of 20/20 with Diane Sawyer that will run for two hours and cover Jenner's thoughts about the process in detail. Jenner will also be revealing his female persona during the special.

Those close to the event have stressed that Jenner will not appear for the interview dressed as a woman. Instead, he wants to explain the mental journey that he has been on throughout the process, and many that are close to him believe that it has little to do with his physical appearance.

There are also rumors that Jenner will open up about his lifelong struggle with his gender identity and that a series of pre-recorded interviews will detail the struggle, which he has apparently dealt with ever since he was a small child.

The air date for the interview will be Friday, April 24. Jenner's family is not expected to be part of the special, although they have been supportive of him ever since he revealed his decision to them.
