The wrestling world is still reacting to the news of Diva AJ Lee retiring from in-ring competition in the WWE and Naomi is the latest talent in the company to heap praise on the three-time Divas Champion.

Update On Possible Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon Match

The WWE announced on Twitter over the weekend that Lee parted ways with the company and was hanging up her boots in the ring and the company then quickly moved her to the Alumni section on WWE.com.

Plenty of Superstars and Divas have taken to Twitter to discuss Lee's decision to part ways from the company and Naomi took to Twitter to praise Lee:

Rob Van Dam 'Not In A Hurry' To Return To The WWE

There are reports circulating that Lee didn't tell the WWE about her impending departure prior to WrestleMania 31 and it was reflected by the WWE's booking during the biggest show of the year.

Lee teamed up with Paige at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. to take on The Bella Twins and the babyfaces won after Lee made reigning Divas Champion Nikki Bella tap out.

It is believed that had the WWE known Lee was leaving, they likely wouldn't have booked the finish to have Lee go over Nikki in that fashion.

Lee, of course, is married to former WWE Superstar CM Punk, who walked out on the WWE in January of 2014.

Punk has since bashed the company on his friend Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast and was sued by WWE doctor Chris Amann for claiming he misdiagnosed him on several occasions during the interview.

Punk's comments and the lawsuit from Amann -- which the WWE supported -- came all while Lee was still employed with the WWE.

Lee took a hiatus after WrestleMania XXX last year and moved in with Punk and the two tied the knot in June, on a day where Punk said he received his termination papers from the WWE.

It's unknown if Lee's decision to retire has to do with Punk, but it appears likely that her relationship with him and his turmoil with the WWE could have led to her departure.

Punk is set to debut in UFC later this year after signing with them in December. "The Best in the World" had Lee by his side when he announced he signed with the MMA promotion, which reportedly drew the ire of some WWE officials.

Lee's time in the WWE is over with, but as a three-time Divas Champion, she helped bring the division back to prominence.
