Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (via ESPN FC): "He [Mesut Ozil] went out for half an hour to a birthday of his friend to wish him well and went back home. You cannot stop someone wishing happy birthday to a friend when he is in his own country. I am not going soft on discipline and I fine people when they work for us and don't respect the discipline."
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers (via ESPN FC): "Our relationship is strong, which is important. He [Raheem Sterling] knows I'm working in the best interests of the club and for him.
