Aaron Hernandez, the ex-New England Patriots star tight end who stands accused of orchestrating the murder of Odin Lloyd, and pulling the trigger in his shooting death, will be back in court again today at 9:00 a.m. Follow Day 40 of the court proceedings free here.

The court heard from Alexander Bradley yesterday, a man who alleges that Hernandez shot him in the face in 2013 and left him to die. Bradley was barred from discussing that incident in front of the jury on Wednesday though, and instead talked about seeing Hernandez in possession of a Glock in February 2013.

Bradley said in February 2013 he was in Florida with Hernandez when he saw a man pass him a gun. “It appeared to be a Glock,” Bradley told the court. He also claimed to have seen a second gun in a box in Hernandez’s North Attleborough home, but told the court it was not a Glock. That could be significant, since the prosecution has painted a picture of Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, disposing of a box from Hernandez’s basement that they believe contained the murder weapon.

Bradley described Hernandez as distrustful and paranoid, claiming he witnessed Hernandez get angry at Lloyd for walking past him at a holiday party without saying hello. He also remembers Hernandez discouraging him from using iPhones around him.

“He didn’t want me to use iPhones around him,” Bradley said, “because he stated that all conversations could be heard at any time with iPhones. . . Oftentimes he felt he was being followed by helicopter or tailed by police.”
