Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, the Philadelphia Flyers (30-29-17, 77 points) and Pittsburgh Penguins (42-23-11, 95 points) take the ice for the third of four meetings this season live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

Philadelphia has lost six of its last eight games while Pittsburgh has won two straight contests and closes out a three-match home stand.

The Penguins enter play in second place in the Metropolitan Division and have the same amount of points as the third place New York Islanders (95) while trailing the first place New York Rangers by eight points (103).

The Flyers are on the outside looking in on the playoff picture, trailing the Boston Bruins by 14 points for the final wild-card spot.

Philadelphia has gotten the better of Pittsburgh in the season series thus far, notching a 5-3 win on Oct. 22 and a 3-2 overtime triumph on Jan. 20.

The Flyers enter play on the back of a 3-2 shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.

Jakub Voracek has paced Philadelphia with 76 points off of 21 goals and 55 assists while Flyers captain Claude Giroux has 23 tallies and 46 helpers for 69 points.

The Penguins come into the game after topping the Sharks 3-2 in a shootout on Sunday.

Captain Sidney Crosby paces Pittsburgh with 79 points off of 25 goals and 54 assists while Evgeni Malkin has found the back of the net a Penguins-best 28 times and added 42 helpers for 70 points.

In between the pipes, Pittsburgh turns to Marc-Andre Fleury and he is 33-17-8 with a 2.26 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.

Philadelphia counters with Steve Mason in between the pipes and he is 15-17-11 with a 2.24 GAA and a .927 save percentage.

These teams will meet again on Sunday for the final time this season.
